What reason to be like the pen? ie packed dirt, soft dirt, grassy, etc? Thanks a bunch! Perhaps this going to work? http://di1.shopping.com/images/pi/ef/bc/95/29589153-590x500-0-0.jpg
I do not see picture, but with a dog house poultry leaves Open any bird to be taken by predators of the night. The use of a mean dog house their birds are in a free meal for a fox, raccoon, oppossum or owl. The only way this will work is if you decided to keep some ducks in it (no chicken), and the house was located within a closed and covered it would not allow than any other to access the patio. animal ducks make a mess, and often the ground floor of a barn or coop. A humid environment is good for ducks, but it is very bad for poultry. I do not recommend either keeping ducks and chickens in the same corral. If you have enough space in your house, you can keep both ducks and chickens (We do), but are in separate pens during the night, and everybody free intervals during the day. An average of laying hens need about 3 feet square living space per bird, as birds in a convenient 4 size house dog than the average will not give them enough space to live comfortably. His hens need nest boxes and some races prefer perches. Their needs vary according to race, so it should be investigated what race you want, and create a cooperative and execute accordingly. Also during the winter, most birds do not want to go out, and some are prone to freezing. A dog house does not have enough space or enough protection against cold temperatures. If you are indeed considering getting a hobby or pet little flock, getting decent housing and establishing long before they bring home birds. Hope this helps!
