Ok to buy a box specifically for a puppy?
My boyfriend and I just bought a new puppy, and I admit that I, we're a little short of money (Not in this economy?). I have never crate trained, but has been highly recommended by us. We're really only planning on use of the cage while he is a puppy. We have a fenced yard and then let get older, and really do not see it alone in the short term. Only really plan on the use of cash of about four months. It is a Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix, so it be a large dog. But could get away with buying a box of size medium to look through the puppyness and bowel control, or just biting the bullet and buy a box of larrrge?
Not only depends on having the dog outside. Or it could be sticky or dependent ... In any case these offspring grow quickly in an honest way I'd suggest a cable box anyway with a divisor. Check craigslist to see if someone is giving away. By the way why do you want to crate train if you plan to leave your dog outside all the time? The cages are used as a den ... but if your dog will stay that's out ... and kicking a child out of her room
how much would you pay in this economy for doggy daycare?
I have in home service which would provides 3 walks , ,carpeted 8x 10 room for overnight, homeowners libility ,crate, n many years of expirience with shelter n rescue dogs. Have two of my own. Want to be fair but not stupid.Honesty please.
I'm not going to answer what I would pay because I'm flat-broke and it wouldn't be much at all.
However, your typical customer during a recession-like period $75-$125/week. I know that's a big difference, but it really depends on the customers you attract and general costs where you live. I have a friend who is young and low-income who loves her two dogs more than anything and pays $750/month for their doggie daycare, a deal worked out because she has two. I don't think this is reasonable, but you'll find people are willing to pay to get the best for their pets. It sounds like you're worth it, but you're right you have to respect the current financial climate.
