Taking my dog to the beach?
Well my dog has all their shots and all, is a miniature Schnauzer is in four months. I was going to take to the beach with my weekend just to get out and catch your breath. I went to get his belt, portable box. Still kind of small for his age (and there will be other dogs there to socialize with him), do you think is a good idea for me to bring? I have also sunscreen (coats made for dogs) and I was probably thinking getting him a small life vest. How about bringing a puppy to the beach? Who is being trained!
I think it's a good idea begin to socialize with other dogs when he's still young. From ocean (or wherever you go) are often rough, wild, a life jacket would probably be a good idea for a small dog. He'll get a great workout frolicking in the sand once you get used to it (which might at first be shy to leave 'Box, it is so different!).
Dog pen or crate?
I have a lab, he has a crate but does non need it but I am going to start using it, but I have a few things. should I use a soft portable crate, play pen, platsic or what? he is a lap, so he is big. He only chews on his bone, he is soo well behaved, we never hada problem with chewing, I just want to keep him safe.He loves crates and stuff, I just want him to have more freedom, he does not chew on anything but his bone.
I have a metal crate for my dog that is huge. i have water and food in there, stuffed animals and blankets. its like his little home. Its big so he can relax in there, but i also feel very safe keeping him in there during the day.
